Partnership development
Fife Golf Trust:
Building a strategic partnership framework.
Fife Golf Trust commissioned platform77 to develop a clearer and more structured approach to partnership development, helping the organisation strengthen community impact, diversify income and build more strategic relationships across Fife.
The Trust operates seven public golf courses and has a strong track record in accessible golf, sustainability and community-focused delivery.
The opportunity was to bring these strengths together into a coherent partnership proposition that could support both commercial growth and wider organisational priorities.
Our role has been to create a practical framework through which Fife Golf Trust can identify, prioritise and develop the right partnerships.
- 01
Reviewing the Trust's existing assets, audiences, courses and partnership opportunities.
- 02
Analysing membership, playing, revenue and digital engagement data.
- 03
Developing a clear partnership value proposition and partner categories.
- 04
Identifying priority sectors and ideal partner profiles.
- 05
Creating partnership platforms around community wellbeing, participation, sustainability and innovation.
- 06
Assessing the commercial potential of assets including golf access, digital channels, scorecard sponsorship and tee signage.
- 07
Developing an initial priority partner pipeline and roadmap for outreach.
- 08
Building a simple governance and reporting structure to support future partnership activity.
Extending community impact
Partnerships with a wider purpose.
Partnerships can help Fife Golf Trust extend its community impact across the wider course network.
The framework identifies opportunities for external partners to support participation, inclusion and wellbeing programmes—helping the Trust reach more people and create lasting community benefit.
The framework builds on Fife Golf Trust's strong sustainability credentials.
These include its award-winning biodiversity work, environmental initiatives and significant investment in lower-carbon course machinery.
The outcome
A focused model for partnerships that deliver more.
The Strategic Partnership Development Framework is designed to move the Trust from a largely reactive approach to a more focused partnership model—helping it target the right organisations, articulate its value more clearly and develop partnerships that deliver measurable commercial, community and environmental benefit.
