PLATFORM77 WORKING WITH SCOTTISH GOLF TO DELIVER VISITOR MARKETING EXPERTISE TO CLUBS
Golf marketing specialists platform77 are working with Scottish Golf to provide hands on support for affiliated clubs across Scotland to deliver a bespoke sales and marketing plan for 50 clubs across Scotland.
While visitor marketing is often viewed as the tool for targeting the international visitor, platform77 will also help clubs to focus in on the opportunity local and national golfers provide, such as increasing green fee and clubhouse revenue and engagement with local community groups and businesses. platform77 will work with clubs to produce a plan to achieve club-specific goals.
Scottish Golf Club Business Manager Iain Evans said: “Visitor golfer revenue is commonly the second highest source of income for clubs behind memberships and will be critical for clubs coming out of COVID. There is huge potential in the domestic visitor golfer market for all clubs of all size so we are delighted to engage platform77 who, as recognised experts in this field, will support clubs in creating bespoke visitor golfer marketing strategies and plans. We are confident this will equip clubs to make the most of this important revenue source and establish a strong base for a sustainable financial future. Scottish Golf is committed to playing its part in the implementation of the forthcoming Scottish Golf Tourism and Visitor Strategy 2021-2030 and believe helping clubs plan to be the best they can be in this area is the best way forward.”
Liam Barn, Managing Director of platform77 added: “We are hugely grateful to Scottish Golf for providing us with the opportunity to work with clubs the length and breadth of the country to support the development of their visitor marketing strategies and plans. Scotland has one of the most wonderfully diverse golf products in the world and we look forward to working with clubs of all types to build plans that effectively target the visitors they value and capitalise on emerging trends and changing consumer behaviours.”
